Not So Fast, Vance

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons today signed defensive tackle Jeremy Clark to the practice squad.

Clark, 6-3, 309 pounds, was originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as a rookie free agent on May 14, 2007. After spending the 2007 campaign on the Eagles' practice squad, the New York Giants acquired the Alabama graduate prior to the 2008 training camp. Clark spent the majority of the 2008 year on the Giants practice squad before being elevated to the 53-man roster in late November. He competed in four games while totaling three tackles and a half of a sack.

Clark's signing gives the Falcons another developmental interior defensive lineman prospect on the practice squad. Defensive tackle Vance Walker, a Georgia Tech standout and 2009 seventh-round draft choice, was signed from the practice squad to the active roster on Monday in the wake of the season-ending knee injury to rookie Peria Jerry.
